Expert Answers about Jayco White Hawk Travel Trailer

  • Way to Carry Two E-Bikes at Rear of 2015 Jayco White Hawk
  • There isn't a safe way we can recommend you reinforce your bumper to allow it to have the capacity needed for the e-bikes and rack but we can help in that we have a multi-fit hitch for RV frames with the Curt # 13703 which can basically fit all frame styles that are between 22 and 72 inches in width. The best option for carrying E-Bikes on a a trailer trailer is the Swagman E-Spec Electric Bike Rack # S94FR. The E-Spec holds your bike down with hooks that touch the frame and it can hold...

  • Lithium Battery Bank and the Progressive Dynamics Mighty Mini PD4045KA Converter/Smart Charger
  • You state "I currently have a PD 4045KA in my Jayco Whitehawk...". If you currently have the Progressive Dynamics Mighty Mini AC/DC Panel and Converter/Smart Charger, # PD4045KA you are okay for changing to a lithium type chemistry battery bank. I see no reason to change from what you have. The Mighty Mini has a lithium charge profile mode you will simply need to change the settings if you currently are setup for lead acid. Please see the linked manual below. For further explanation...

  • What Tire Chains do You Recommend for My 205/75-14 Tires on My 2017 Jayco Travel Trailer?
  • When considering tire chains for trailers, we here at etrailer recommend using tire chains on your braked tires only. This is because there will not be a huge impact when using tire chains on non-braked tires. With that being said, we do carry tire chains for your 205/75-14 tires. For the absolute safest chains that do not require any internal clearance, I recommend the Konig Premium Self-Tensioning Snow Tire Chains - Diamond Pattern - D Link # th02230k34. These chains come with icebreaker...

  • What Is A Good RV Capable Platform Bike Rack
  • We have several options, two of those are the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches # HLY74FR and the Swagman Chinook Bike Rack for 2 Bikes # S64683. I do recommend the Swagman # S64686 unless you have heavier bikes. It can handle bikes up to 45 pounds. The Hollywood # HLY74FR can take bikes up to 80 pounds. They both offer hitch and bike locks and can carry a large range of different styles of bikes. They are both very similar and good...

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch for a 2015 Jayco Whitehawk
  • The Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 13703 is what I recommend for a 2015 Jayco Whitehawk. The Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch Receiver can either be bolted or welded to the trailer frame. If you choose to bolt-on, the frame brackets can actually be used as a nice template to help with installation. The adjust-ability of the trailer hitch makes it a great option for trailers. In order to secure your generator, the 24x27 TorkLift Lock and Load Maximum Security Cargo Tray part...

  • Recommended Suspension Upgrades For 2018 Jayco White Hawk Travel Trailer With Wide Stance Axles
  • For your 2018 Jayco White Hawk Ultralight 27 RBOK camper I recommend the Equa-Flex Cushioned Equalizers # LC314336. Your Jayco has the wide stance axle and this equalizer is 14-5/8" from front shackle bolt hole center to the rear shackle bolt hole center to match your factory equalizer. It has a rubber core that helps to reduce chucking and absorb road shock. These are rated to work with your 3,500lb axles up to a 5,200lb axle. I recommend using their Lippert Tandem Axle Equa-Flex AP Kit...

  • Shock Kit Recommendation for 2014 Jayco Whitehawk MRB20 with 3,000 lb Axles
  • While we do have a shock kit that fits your 2014 Whitehawk MRB20 with tandem axles the Lippert kit you mentioned is not the correct fit as it's for higher rated axles that have a larger diameter. Instead you'd want the Roadmaster Comfort Ride kit part # RM-2450 which was designed for tandem axle trailers like yours that have 2-3/8 inch diameter axles. Our customers who have installed this kit have reported to us that it does an excellent job improving the ride quality of the trailer and...

  • The length of your 2016 Jayco Whitehawk 24RKS is 24 feet so for a cover the Classic Accesorries # 052963734638 would be the best fit. This cover will do an excellent job protecting the RV when in storage, will last a long time, and has zipper panels that allow you access to the trailer if needed without having to take the entire cover off.

  • Recommended Hitch for Travel Trailer With 68-1/2 Inch Outside to Outside Spaced Frame Members
  • The Curt # C13704 fits frame members with an outside dimension up to 66 inches long, so it wouldn't be compatible with your 68-1/2 inch outside to outside frame spread. You'll want to use the other hitch you mentioned, the Curt # 13703 which fits frame members up to 72 inches wide which would work great on your travel trailer. The hitch would be compatible with the frame member you described. The hitch would work okay for towing a small boat as long as it doesn't exceed the 3500 lb towing/350...

  • Correct Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution System for a Jayco WhiteHawk 27RB
  • The correct Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution System for a Jayco WhiteHawk 27RB is part # BLU66FR which is rated for up to 10,000 lbs so it will work great for the trailer weighing in around 8,200 lbs while loaded. The Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution System rated for 15,000 lbs would be too much for this trailer.

  • Recommended Slide-Out Awning For 2021 Jayco White Hawk 28RL With 141 Wide Slide Out
  • Since the 2021 Jayco White Hawk 28RL you are looking at has a slide out that measures 141" flange to flange the Solera RV Slide-Out Awning - 12'1" Wide - 48" Projection - Black # LCV000177334 you were looking at is the correct size as it is designed for slide outs that are 140"-145" wide. Using Butyl Tape # 362BT-18x1-50 when installing the brackets on your slide will seal the screw holes to prevent water from getting in your travel trailer. I included a video of the # LCV000177334 being...

  • Where Would Bearing and Sleeve Come From When Removing Propane Pigtail on RV
  • It was a part from the regulator. It most likely is something that shouldn't have happened. The leak you have most likely came from the regulator. A new one like the part # 108220 which is a dual stage vertical regulator is what you'll need.

  • Replacement 3-Step Pull-Out Steps for Jayco White Hawk Travel Trailer
  • There should hopefully be a model number or manufacturer information somewhere on your step assembly. This would typically be printed on a sticker on the underside of the steps or brackets. If you can't find any identifiable information, you can also choose a compatible replacement based on the measurements for your existing assembly. You will want to make sure the mounting bracket features the same dimensions for easy installation. The closest Lippert 3-step assembly we have to the...

  • Is it Possible that Curt RV Multi Fit Hitch # 13703 Could Only Install by Welding
  • The Curt multi fit hitch part # 13703 was designed to install by either bolting it on or welding. Unless there's just no way to access the out side of the frame to attach hardware I can't see why the hitch could only be welded on and not bolted on. We don't have access to your exact RV though so we aren't able to check and see if there's interference or something that would prevent the install. Now with that said a qualified welder would have no problems welding this hitch in place though...

  • Availability of Cushioned Equalizer that Has Length of 14-5/8 inches
  • In the 14-5/8 inch equalizer length we only have the Equa-Flex part # LC314336 that you mentioned. This might slightly change the height of your trailer but it wouldn't be to a significant enough point that you'd notice it. It would do a great job helping the ride quality though so I would recommend it highly. Assuming you have the standard 2-3/8 inch diameter trailer axles you'd just need the u-bolts part # CE15286GA and you'd be set with the # RM-2450 and the # MR46ZR.

  • Travel Trailer Cover Recommendation for 34 Foot Trailer to Help Protect Against Hail
  • The best cover we have for your 2021 Jayco White Hawk 29BH Travel Trailer is the Adco Olefin HD All-Climate + Wind RV Cover # AD59ZR. This is great for a variety of elements like rain, snow, sun, and wind but I'm not sure how well any of the covers will hold up to hail. Adding blankets underneath for cushioning will definitely help to protect your trailer but if you get decent-sized hail and it comes down pretty hard I don't really have a way to guarantee that this cover won't rip. With...
